Character Design – The Chronicles of Kimarel

Concept art for two key characters from The Chronicles of Kimarel: The Dawning of the Fall, a fantasy saga written by Hugan.

🎓 Kormau – Master of the Grand Library and senior member of the Explorers. A reserved, methodical character with deep arcane knowledge.
🛡️ Eldrian – Captain of the Explorer Legion. A strategic and seasoned leader, driven by duty and experience in dangerous missions.

They are summoned to investigate the rise of The Liberators, a rogue group of arcane mages spreading chaos across the northern region of Kimarel.

About the process:
This project focused on narrative-driven character design. I worked on silhouettes, clothing logic, and posture to visually communicate each character’s role, background, and personality.

The designs were tailored for print and graphic novel workflow — balancing detail and clarity while maintaining a consistent visual identity for the story’s world.
